A Ramadan Treat for Children From Asrama Kebajikan Ar Rayyan and Launching of Johor Talent Development Programme
2 July 2015 - In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, UMLand Seri Austin (Dynasty View Sdn Bhd) once again hosted a buka puasa function with some 20 orphans from Asrama Kebajikan Ar-Rayyan together with UMLand Seri Austin staffs, authorities and business associates today.
These events are part of UMLand Seri Austin’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme (CSR) in giving back to the community and we are committed to bring new hopes, cheer and laughter to the new generations in need.
In addition, a total of RM5,000 contribution is presented by Mr KK Wong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UMLand Seri Austin to the orphanage home founder, Ustaz Halimi Haji Kolan witnessed by The City Mayor YB Dato Haji Abdul Rahman Mohamed Dewam.
According to KK Wong, “This function was carried out to help the less fortunate in our community to lighten up their burden and we want to assist them to continue to be strong, going through the holy fasting month as well as celebrate the upcoming Hari Raya Aidlfitri happily.” Asrama Kebajikan Ar-Rayyan was established in June 2011 as a centre for protection and cares primarily for Muslim orphans, low income families, homeless & neglected children and currently houses 78 children aged 6 to 17 years old.
On the same event, we are taking this opportunity to announce the launch of Johor Talent Development Program which aims to improve the employability of unemployed graduates. UMLand Seri Austin is privileged to be the first private organization in championing the cause of unemployment among graduates in Johor and the programme is a skills upgrading training programme designed to transform graduates into highly-employable executives for the service industry.
Johor Talent Development Programme is sponsored by UMLand Seri Austin and managed by Elnet Talent Solutions PLT. Dr.Elilen Chandra, Chief Executive Officer of Elnet Talent Solutions said after successful completion of the programme, graduates will be awarded certificates and would be referred to companies for possible employment.
“We hope our efforts will inspire other corporate companies to help us fight the ever increasing unemployment rate by preparing these graduates with soft skills to help them get and maintain a good employment in the future.” KK Wong added.
